Overview

This sales trainer role, for software products, is crucial in supporting our Field Sales with their transition from traditional hardware sales to software selling.  We want to be seen by our customers as a professional, competent and responsive partner for software services and it is the primary objective of this role to deliver that by working both internally with the relevant stakeholders and externally with both customers and 3rd party suppliers to ensure this is achieved.

Responsibilities

Training

  • You will be tasked with the Design, development and delivery of instructional material for employee training courses that support company products, processes and best practices
  • Utilise effective needs analysis and evaluation of skills
  • Effectively utilise multimedia technology and authoring tools
  • You will be delivering technical training to a non technical audience
  • Managing certification process and updating of content and online learning
  • Take ownership for the full training cycle from training needs analysis and designing informative yet engaging training material through to the delivery of the learning solution

Collaborative working and communication

  • Work with the product management team to stay abreast of new product features / functionality/launches and determine needs of product training courses and appropriate method of delivery
  • Work cooperatively with other departments including Software Services, Sales, Marketing and Service.
  • Working closely with Neopost’s partners to ensure all software knowledge is current and the relationships are collaborative
  • Be clear, open and honest when communicating both internally and externally
  • Understanding and adhering to the relevant internal processes

Software knowledge

  • The ability to learn multiple software products
  • To be the Neopost portfolio subject matter expert
  • To work internally to ensure full customer satisfaction and knowledge is transferred effectively

Reporting

  • Monthly reporting to Head of People and Organisational Development with training activity and utilization
  • Forecasting of future training plans and activity
  • Implement KPI's and compile reports on the effectiveness of the training activity

Advisory

  • Advisory role to the Head of People and Organisational Development and other department heads in relation to any business appropriate and effective learning solutions

Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience working within fast and dynamically changing projects and environments
  • Being able to deliver training either in a classroom environment , over the phone, webinars and via seminars
  • Ability to adapt style of delivery from technical to non technical
  • Proven prior experience coordinating and facilitating training programs.
  • Strong organisation, networking, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and solid facilitation and teaching skills
  • Flexibility to travel, hold a full, clean UK driving licence

 

Desirable

  • CIPD qualification in Learning and Development
  • Project management experience
  • Software Training Experience
