Reporting to the Senior Inside Sales Manager of the Digital Solutions Business, this role is responsible for generating revenue from the sales of web based software solutions. Specific responsibilities would include calling, qualifying, selling new subscriptions, up selling and cross selling to our customers and prospects. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a tenacious attitude who can demonstrate great communication skills, particularly when calling decision makers within SMBs. The team is small but growing so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a career and development.


Service Delivery

  • To prioritise the generation of revenue and licensed users in line with monthly, quarterly and annual quota expectation. 
  • Adhere to the team’s working schedule and rota lunches to maintain telephone cover at all times. 
  • Maintain professional interaction with prospects and customers at all times ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Be positive, professional and work collaboratively with the team and all departments to ensure synergy, strategy and focus 
  • Always be selling - listening to customers and prospects, hearing what they are saying, overcoming their objections and achieving the revenue and subscription targets set. 
  • Learning – sharing learning and insights from prospect engagements to create what great looks like and ensure repeatable sales success.

Strategy & Policy Development 

  • To join ad-hoc working groups if required to share learning, develop the strategy and improve the current products. 


  • Forecast daily, weekly and monthly a breakdown of the sales opportunities been worked on and the revenue associated with each.

Budget Management & efficient use of financial resources

  • Maximise sales revenue and software license sales at every opportunity and use personal resource to ensure that individual target is achieved. 

Forward Planning

  • Being proactive and reactive to market conditions, specifically with regards to competitive activity. 
  • Actively support and put forward improvements that could be made to the applications and the portal. 



  • Experience in a B2B telesales environment
  • Highly motivated, resilient and tenacious 
  • Confident over the telephone, in particular with cold calling
  • Well spoken and presented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good work attitude
  • Quick learner and receptive to change
  • Ability to work individually and in a team
  • Passionate about technology
  • Excellent internet and MS Office skills
  • Ability to sell ideas and concepts



  • Degree educated
  • Experience in a lead generation or a telesales business development role
  • Experience of having previously sold software over the phone
  • Use of Sales Force for prospecting
  • Use of WebEx for demonstration purposes
